2017 Apprentice Day
July 26, 2017
Following on from the success of our first Apprentice Day last year, Perkins Builders held our Annual Apprentice Day earlier this month. Apprentices from Perth and the South West gathered together to complete some training and participate in fun team building activities.
The first day saw our apprentices tour some of our larger construction sites in the Perth area, followed by some excitement for the afternoon – Indoor Skydiving! The day was concluded with a dinner with our Managing Director, Dan Perkins and our two Construction Managers.
On the second day, the apprentices attended a Master Builders Association Safety Leadership course. This full day course taught them about the importance of safety in the workplace, including their role and responsibility for their own safety, the safety of others, as well as an insight into the responsibilities in a supervisory role should they wish to further their career into a supervisory position.
Perkins is dedicated to being an employer of choice and providing a solid foundation of training to all our employees; we are pleased to be able to continue the Apprentice Day in support of the future of our industry.
