Contract Administrator

We’re seeking a highly organised and commercially minded Contract Administrator to join our construction team. In this role, you will play a critical part in supporting the successful delivery of commercial construction projects—driving contractual compliance, financial accuracy, and strong relationships across clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.

🔧 About the Role

As a Contract Administrator, you will support construction projects from start to finish, ensuring contractual obligations are met, costs are controlled, documentation is accurate, and communication flows smoothly between stakeholders. You’ll work closely with the Project Manager, Site Manager, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to ensure projects run on time, within budget, and in line with compliance requirements.


💼 Key Responsibilities

  • Administer contracts and support commercial management to ensure projects finish on time and on budget.
  • Prepare procurement documentation and ensure subcontractor and supplier obligations are clear.
  • Review subcontractor documentation for HSE compliance.
  • Source competitive pricing and issue purchase orders in line with company procedures.
  • Support cost and revenue budgeting, daily costing reviews, and financial reporting.
  • Negotiate and review claims, variations, and subcontractor invoices while maintaining positive cash flow.
  • Prepare monthly valuations, forecasts, and project reporting for the Project Manager.
  • Manage contract correspondence, job files, document control, and non‑conformance reporting.
  • Support programming, risk management, and performance monitoring with the Site Manager.

🎓 Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or relevant experience.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Contract Administrator or similar in commercial construction.
  • Strong understanding of contract law and construction industry legislation.
  • Skilled negotiator with strong problem‑solving and communication abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Project and Excel; valid driver’s licence and White Card.
