We’re seeking a motivated and technically minded Project Engineer to support the safe, efficient, and high‑quality delivery of commercial construction projects. 🔧 About the Role
You’ll work closely with the Project Manager, Site Manager, Contracts Administrator, subcontractors, and consultants to drive planning, engineering, procurement, coordination, and quality processes across the full project lifecycle—from pre‑construction through to commissioning and handover.
💼 Key Responsibilities
- Review drawings, specifications, and scope to support planning, buildability, and risk identification.
- Coordinate RFIs, design queries, shop drawings, and technical clarifications across consultants and trades.
- Assist with procurement, including scopes, tender packages, evaluations, and tracking lead times.
- Maintain short‑term programs and work with the Site Manager to sequence trades and resolve site issues.
- Monitor progress, highlight delays, and support development of recovery actions.
- Manage quality processes including ITPs, inspections, testing, and closing out NCRs.
- Support subcontract administration including variations, delays, progress claims, and project registers.
- Prepare weekly reporting across program, procurement, risks, quality, and HSE.
- Assist with commissioning, as-built documentation, defects management, and close‑out processes.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, authorities, and trade partners to ensure smooth project delivery.
🎓 About You
- Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Experience in commercial construction.
- Strong understanding of NCC, Australian Standards, and WHS requirements.
- Excellent communication, organisation, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities.
- High attention to detail and strong technical capability.
- Ability to influence others and build strong working relationships.
