The ideal candidate will be someone with a passion for safety, looking to continue building on their HSE career in the commercial construction industry with a practical approach to safety on a construction site.
The successful candidate is expected to:
- Be integral to the safety culture on site and implement the Perkins safety systems
- Complete regular Site Inspections
- Identify potential hazards, assess related risk and implement appropriate controls
- Assist with Incident reporting and incident investigation
- Assist subcontractors with adherence to our HSE requirements
- Develop HSE documentation in consultation with the Site Manager, Project Manager, HSEQ Manager and sub-contractors
- Participate in audits to ensure compliance with our integrated HSEQ system (policy and procedure),
- Attend to incidents and near misses as required
- Input and collate HSE data for reporting purposes
- Provide awareness on best practice and relevant legislation
- Foster an education and awareness approach and identify opportunities for improvement
To be considered for this role candidates must hold the following:
- Certificate IV in OH&S / WHS as a minimum
- 2 years minimum proven site experience in the commercial construction industry
- Strong knowledge of relevant HSE legislation
- A good working knowledge of computer systems
- Knowledge of & competency in applying OSH/WHS methodologies
- Valid Driver’s Licence, current First Aid & White Card
- Ability to obtain a Federal Police Clearance
- Australian citizenship is a requirement on some of our sites
