Perkins Builders are excited to be completing construction on the new Bunbury Community Courts project.
The facility will feature six new full-sized courts for basketball and netball, including a show court with retractable seating, along with changerooms, a multipurpose room and modern facilities for players, officials, and the wider community. The development will also include a welcoming foyer, commercial kitchen, kiosk, and bar facilities, creating a modern, flexible venue capable of hosting community sport, major regional events, and a wide range of recreational activities throughout the year.
Designed as a sustainable, multipurpose indoor sporting hub and delivered by the Bunbury Basketball Association, the courts will support the continued growth of basketball across the South West, providing opportunities for a variety of other indoor sports and community uses as well as being a new home for the Association.
The new facility will also help meet increasing demand for indoor sporting venues and strengthen Bunbury’s reputation as one of regional Western Australia’s leading sporting destinations. More than just a sporting facility, this will be a flexible community hub capable of hosting major regional events and a wide range of recreational activities throughout the year.
The project holds a special significance to our team, with two of our staff currently playing with the Slammers NBL1 Team. It’s a unique opportunity for them to be part of the team constructing the courts they will soon be playing on!
