The Bunbury Hospital Redevelopment is a landmark healthcare project that will transform Bunbury Hospital into one of the most modern hospital facilities in regional Western Australia. Delivered by the Multiplex Perkins Joint Venture, the redevelopment will strengthen the hospital’s role as a vital healthcare hub for the City of Greater Bunbury and the wider southwest community.

The project is being delivered under a two-stage Managing Contractor model that supports collaboration, innovation and risk management throughout the project lifecycle. Stage One focused on developing the design to approximately 80% Design Development, working closely with stakeholders to refine the scope, program and delivery approach. During this phase, Multiplex and Perkins engaged with local industry partners to maximise participation opportunities for businesses across the southwest region alongside the commencement of early works. When complete, the redevelopment will deliver a fit-for-purpose healthcare facility designed to meet future demand. Works include a new seven‑storey clinical tower, including maternity, birthing and neonatal ward, intensive care and high dependency units, medical wards, a training, education and research centre, helipad and upgraded mental health observation area, alongside significant upgrades to emergency, surgical and support services infrastructure.

Perkins are proud to be part of the Joint Venture delivering the redevelopment that will enhance healthcare outcomes, support regional growth and deliver lasting benefits for communities across our Western Australia’s Southwest.
