This significant upgrade to Harrisdale Primary School included additional classrooms, expanded parking, and major services enhancements. The project was structured into five separable portions, allowing delivery to be staged in a way that supported ongoing school operations and reduced disruption to staff and students. The works were undertaken at the school’s existing site in Harrisdale.

The project commenced with the installation of temporary hoarding to maintain clear separation between construction areas and the active school environment, ensuring safe pedestrian movement for students, staff, and the public throughout the program. Early site preparation included removing existing sports hard courts and vegetation, enabling earthworks and setting the foundations for new buildings and infrastructure improvements.

A major component of the works was the delivery of a new two‑storey educational building designed to accommodate growing student numbers. The structure features in‑situ concrete ground slabs, structural steel, concrete and load‑bearing brickwork supporting a post‑tensioned suspended slab system. The upper level incorporates structural steel columns, precast concrete panels, and a steel roof structure with metal deck roofing. Internally, the building is constructed using a combination of brickwork and lightweight framed plasterboard walls. This facility also integrates new fire mains, power upgrades, and broader service improvements to support operational requirements.

The project also includes a new single‑storey kindergarten facility, supported by additional car parking, playground areas, and both hard and soft landscaping. Externally, the buildings combine face brickwork, CFC linings, precast concrete panels, and metal shade structures creating a durable and cohesive design across the site.

Further works encompass new hard courts with cricket nets, upgraded landscaping, a roof‑level access system, and general builder’s works required to complete the redevelopment.
