This project in the heart of Busselton involved extensive refurbishment of the existing 88 year old Ship Hotel building to breathe it new life and provide modern facilities including Bistro Dining, Lounge and a Sports Bar. To make way for the new Dan Murphy’s Liquor Store, two existing 2 storey accommodation buildings were demolished. The new store is a 1000m2 concrete tilt panel building with a mezzanine level. Both buildings were completed to a high standard with a range of unique finishes including timber veneer, powdercoated expanded mesh feature ceilings, gold mirrors and gold anodised linings.

Particular care were required during demolition and refurbishment works due to a number of the existing buildings on site holding significant heritage value. The time constrained programme involved the close management and coordination of trades working in a number of areas concurrently and saw Perkins complete the whole project in 6 months.

This project was Winner of Commercial Alterations and Additions $4m-$6m  at the 2017 Master Builders Association South West Building Excellence Awards.
