This unique project that enabled Woolworths to consolidate its lamb and beef business to a single modern facility in the South West of Western Australia.

The building works consisted of the following:

  • Expansion of existing refrigerated distribution facility from 12,000 m3 to just shy of 40,000 m3  of refrigerated space
  • Brand new 1,700 m2  refrigerated production facility and 700 mdry goods storage
  • Full refurbishment of existing warehouse facility, production/process areas and administration building

The works began in August of 2010 and were completed in December 2011 and the existing facility remained fully operational for the entire construction period.  This provided Perkins Builders with multiple constructional challenges which were overcome to deliver a completed project almost 2 months ahead of schedule and under budget.
